We are thrilled, grateful, and feeling so very blessed to report that Ms. Patricia Davis is doing well and recovering at home. Thank you to all of you who love her like we do and have prayed for her - please keep those prayers coming! TGS loves you, Ms. Patricia!

Congratulations are in order!!! Way to go, Mrs. Durden who was selected as a winner of a $1,000 grant to purchase math and science supplies for the fifth grade team as well as for our upcoming Science Night at TGS.
The grant, known as GRANTED, was created by the Robins Financial Credit Union in 2022 in an effort to alleviate some of the financial burden on local teachers and provide them with the tools they need to educate and engage their students. Selected recipients receive classroom supplies or monetary donations to purchase items from their classroom wish lists.
We are excited to see all this will do for our students! Thanks for the effort, Mrs. Durden, and for the investment, RFCU!

Thank you to Mrs. Calloway, Mrs. Chambless, and our amazing parent volunteers who helped out today with the Black & Gold Tailgate, with PBIS ice cream sales, and with selling (& applying) tattoos! It was a great Friday and a perfect way to kick off the long weekend!

> Did you know that PBIS sells ice cream every other Friday throughout the year?
> And, did you know that all proceeds of these sales go directly to the PBIS fund which works to encourage and reward positive behavior throughout the school?
So, when you send in $1 for ice cream, you're not just getting a sweet treat for your child. You're helping to fund an important program in our school which does some pretty amazing things, and this Friday, August 16, is your first opportunity of the year to do so. Thanks for the support! #tgscottelementary #growtogether #PBIS

Don't forget that your students' summer reading logs are due one week from today, Friday, August 16, and these must be turned in to qualify for the sweet reward! Let's see how many summer readers we have! #tgscottelementary #growtogether #bearslovebooks #summerreading

WoodmenLife® has for many years and in many ways sought, through its local chapters, to foster a patriotic attitude and a profound appreciation for the ideal that is America. In keeping with this effort, awards are presented each year in schools across the nation to the student selected as being the most proficient in the study of American History. On behalf of WoodmenLife Chapter 369, Mr. Sanders had the honor of presenting Rebecca Goode, Zylus Norwood, and Lydia Svensson the WoodmenLife award for Outstanding Proficiency in the study of American History. Congratulations, Rebecca, Zylus, and Lydia! And, special thanks to Glenda Davis for representing WoodmenLife - Georgia Central and supporting these rewards for TG Scott Honors Day 2024!
