In the morning, be sure to wait at least 12 feet off of the roadway (if possible) when waiting for the bus to arrive. If you have to cross the street to board the bus, always wait until the bus arrives. Do not attempt to cross until the bus has stopped, the stop arm is extended, and all other vehicles have stopped.

The Danger Zone is the 12 foot area that surrounds a stopped school bus where the bus driver might not see you or where cars might be moving when you are getting on and off the school bus. Always stay away from the danger zone and in your bus driver’s direct view. If you drop something while getting on or off the bus, do not attempt to pick it up until you get the bus driver’s attention.

Please plan to join us tomorrow night for Family Science Night! It's sure to be WILD fun with games and activities and more! And, thanks to our generous sponsors, Mid GA Cleaning Systems and SportClips, for helping to make it possible. We appreciate your support of our students!

We are so thankful for the team of bus drivers who serve the students of TGS so well. The dedication and love they have for the students is obvious in the way they care for the kids on their routes, and we enjoyed treating them to a special breakfast today as a thank you! #tgs

In the mornings, make sure to arrive at your bus stop at least 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive. Remember, if you miss the bus, never chase after it or go to another bus stop; instead, return home and have someone call the school or the Transportation Department.

A highlight of the 5th grade DC trip is always the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery’s most iconic memorial. This year, Mary Ryan Bunt (TGS) and McKinley Sims (HES) had the honor of laying a wreath. Elijah Veal, HES,

We are so excited about the book vending machine which many of you may have seen in our front hall! This new addition to TG Scott was largely funded through a Donor's Choose Project created to enhance our library media program. Our supportive and generous PTO also sponsored half of this literacy focused initiative!
Check out our very first Book Vending Machine Shoppers, Luke Davidson and Elianna Reynolds! Students are able to earn book tokens for our #BookBlasterMachine through Accelerated Reader achievements as well as demonstrating TGS behavioral expectations. Both Luke and Elianna were rewarded a book token for having already earned 70 AR points this school year. Way to go, Luke and Elianna! Who will be next? We can’t wait to see!
