💛🎗️September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and today our students had a truly meaningful opportunity to learn, listen, and grow with a very special guest reader!

We were honored to welcome Ms. Kylie Seitz, Mrs. Justice’s sister, a Mary Persons graduate, and a childhood cancer survivor. Kylie battled cancer as a young child and now works with Jay’s Hope as a childhood cancer advocate.

During her visit, Kylie read stories to our students and taught them about childhood cancer, helping them understand the importance of kindness, compassion, and supporting children and families facing cancer.

We are so grateful to Kylie for sharing her story and spending time with our Hubbard Tigers! Her visit was a wonderful way to build excitement leading up to Hats for Hope on September 25th! 🎗️

Thank you, Kylie, for inspiring our students and helping us spread hope and awareness throughout our school community!

Due to an increase in traffic blocking Highway 83 and Old Brent Road, we will be changing our PM car rider dismissal pattern. All AM car rider procedures will remain in place. Please review the flyer and video. The new traffic pattern will start on Monday, September 14. Law enforcement will be on hand to assist with this transition.

📚🧡 One more walk down the hallway... 🧡📚

Tomorrow is the last day for parents and guardians to walk students to their classrooms. We've loved seeing so many smiles, hugs, high-fives, and sweet goodbyes each morning. Thank you for partnering with us as we've kicked off another amazing school year! 🐯

Starting Thursday, our Hubbard Tigers will begin making their way to class on their own, but don't worry, we've got them! Our staff and Safety Patrol will be throughout the building, ready to welcome, encourage, and help every student get safely to their classroom.

A few friendly reminders:
🐾 Students may begin entering the building at 7:30 a.m.
🚪 Parents may walk students to class between 8:00–8:30 a.m. tomorrow only.
⏰ Beginning Thursday, students will enter independently, and our school day begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. Please help your Tiger arrive on time so they're ready for a great day of learning!

Thank you for trusting us with your children each day. We can't wait to continue making this a fantastic year at Hubbard!
